Model: Cardinal - The Cardinal is a mid range six berth folding camper with fridge, mains 240v, later models have a toilet, hot water, oven and sprung beds. Awnings are an optional extra.
Set up Instructions
External
- Apply brake, level with the jokey wheel and wind down the legs
- Level the trailer front to back, not side to side
- Turn gas on and remove any bits from gas locker
- Unclip four roof locks, insert winding handle and wind roof to full height
- Slide beds fully out and fit bed supports. Long bed supports are used at the back, short at the front
- With back bed support set in short position, insert into chassis. Front supports locate into “A” frame and bed base
- Now pull beds up and out at same angle as supports, till pin pops out
- Not all models have adjustable supports, some are fixed length
- Pull down bed end zip so they are 3/4 zipped up
Internal
- Step inside, locate bed end roof bars onto plastic lug on bed end pole, then slot into bracket on trailer roof
- Later models lift wardrobe into place on cupboard
- Unclip door from roof and lower so two locating pins go into holes on trailer
- Push top of door into place and lock with twist locks. Unlock and open door, make sure it moves freely
- Fit canvas to door frame by folding back and pushing into slot
- Pull canvas down around bed ends, do up zips and fit shock cord
- Early models, lift wardrobe and hob / sink into place
- Later models with toilet see note below, there are three types of compartment
- Remove seat cushions and stand table to one side
- Put sink into place next to toilet, tap screws into place, plug in water and electric plug
- Lift hob into place, hinged, gas stays connected
- Fit shelf unit to side of toilet, hooks on top. Clip up inner tents and roof linings. Curtains fit on wire attached to the poles
TYPE 1 Toilet Compartment - in 4 parts. Left/Right sides, door and tie bar.
- Lift left side and front into place, fix with clip and screw
- Right hand side fits into place with clip and screw
- Door locates onto three split hinges
- Wooden tie bar goes across back at top, to hold firm
TYPE 2 Toilet Compartment - Just door and the tie bar loose.
- Lift left side until upright, then front panel, and clip together
- Fit door surround to front panel
- Then lift right panel and fit door surround
- Wooden tie bar goes across back at top, to hold firm
TYPE 3 Toilet Compartment - no loose panels
- Lift front panel and door hinged, till upright, open door
- Lift top plate on first side, then lift panel into place and fix with top plate
- Lift top plate on second side, then lift panel into place and fix with top plate
